Try uninstalling all drivers currently installed. Then re update it. If this doesn't work go inside the case and check that all wires are fully in. If not it seems to be a hardware problem.

My DVD shows up on my hardware profile but it will not play any discs. How can I get this to work?
When I check it it says that it is working properly and when I try to update the driver, it says that there is no driver found that is better than the one already available. How do I correct this?My DVD shows up on my hardware profile but it will not play any discs. How can I get this to work?
