I met this guy who says he works for Jackson Hewitt tax co.,Is that possible even though its not tax season?

I don't know of the company personally, but yes, you can still be employed at a tax company even when it's not tax season. People can pay taxes for businesses on a monthly basis, it depends on how they've got it set up with the IRS or the state they're in. There are many accountants out there who work daily but are just especially busy during tax season. I hope this helps. :)I met this guy who says he works for Jackson Hewitt tax co.,Is that possible even though its not tax season?
Tax returns are prepared all year long. You have extensions that people get and you also have corporate taxes that follow a different fiscal year. Just because it's not ';tax season'; doesn't mean taxes still aren't going on.I met this guy who says he works for Jackson Hewitt tax co.,Is that possible even though its not tax season?
Yes Jackson Hewitt's are independently owned, so depending on the size of the franchise (8 stores or 80 stores). They may need certain emplooyees to work year round to handle tax issues - audits and investigations, opening and/or closing stores, teach tax school, and even preparing tax returns for the ';late birds.';
You think people at accounting firms only work in April? It's not like a job being Santa at the mall.
Yes, they have off season employees to handle other tax matters as well as software updates and many various other administrative duties
Yes, people have tax problems all year long and businesses don't always have fiscal years that end in December.
yes when the season is over he may just work part time
What do you think that these people only work during tax season and the rest of the year they have off. Hey! that would be a great job.
