I want my hair to grow faster- prenatal pills have been recommended...does this really work?

I'm not pregnant so is taking prenatal pills to make my hair grow bad for me?I want my hair to grow faster- prenatal pills have been recommended...does this really work?
ok, this is what my dc. told me when I asked him the same question.... He said and I quote '; prenatal pills are vitamins so taking them pregnant or NOT is good for you. It DOES promote hair growth and help your nails to be strong as well';... I still take them and I've not been pregnant for a while LOL, my dc said it's NOT A BAD CHOICE=c) (for females)I want my hair to grow faster- prenatal pills have been recommended...does this really work?
IS IT TRUE THAT IT WILL MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT Report Abuse

you should just get the ones for hair and nails... they have more vitamin e and something else in them... they sell them at wal mart... prenatal vitamins have an awful lot of iron and a few other things that your body might not like if not supporting a child.
my sister took them and not only did her hair grow longer but her nails did too. it works great, its just like taking multi vitamins but stronger, plus you can buy prenatal pills over the counter at wal mart or kmart.
It will help,no its not bad for you
I think any type of vitamins are good for your hair. So is Knox Gelatin. Look into that too.
There is no magic bullet. If you want to go from a short Bob to long flowing locks instantly than you do have some options, but depending on a variety of factors, they may be limited. Your best bet for overnight long hair is to consider hair extensions, clip on ponytails or long wigs.

Yes, there are lots of things that can maximize the potential of your hair growing cycle but it is absolute folly to imagine that you can go to bed one night with shoulder length hair and the next day wake up with a new inch of growth.

There are some very rare exceptions, but most hair on most people is genetically programmed to grow a maximum of 6 inches a year.
no, you can do it
No, its not bad for you. If you want your hair to grow faster, keep it conditioned and get the ends trimmed regularly. Also, try not to wash it every day. The longest you can go without washing it (of course not to be unhygienic) the better. Your hair needs those essential oils for growth and when you shampoo daily you remove those oils. Good luck.
well my daughter is 11 months old and i still take prenatal vitamins they are very healthy! and my hair as grown about 13 inches since i had my daughter.
your not pregnant but you can use them they will make your hair grow and give you lots of energy
yes i guuess you could take them as they are safe. they do work to some extent. another thing what you can do is apply castor oil on your hair.
It is true that prenatal pills help your hair(and nails) grow faster, but a cheaper route is gelatin. Yes, knox gelatin is very good for growing stronger, healthier hair and nails as well.
no i dont think anything makes your hair grow faster

either your born with the gene or your not.it sucks for some people that wish they had longer hair
My wife experienced a burst of hair growth while taking prenatal vitimins. Of course, she was also pregnant. So what caused the hair growth; the vitimans or the hormones that accompany pregnancy? Your guess is as good as mine. But I guess taking the vitamins wouldn't hurt to see if it helps.

There is also Rogain.
it increases the usage vitamins and nutrients that your body may otherwise not recognize and dispose of. therefor those nutrients if dispersed correctly, could benefit the growth of your hair
