If you wish to answer a question,, click the blue answer this question button below the question,, type your answer, click preview, click submit.





If you wish to give another answer to a closed question, click comment, type your answer (below 300 characters) and click submit.





On one of your own questions





Pick a best answer:





You can only pick a best answer on one of your own questions, to do this, you must wait AT LEAST 4 hours after you have aksed the question.





Then after this time has elapsed a large blue choose as best answer button will appear underneath each answer. You have to click this to choose as a best answer. Then you have to give a star rating - how useful the answer was. You also have to leave a little bit of feedback for the user. Then click preview and submit.





I would also advise that you wait for more answers to appear before you try to choose a best,, the question will remain open for 3 days for people to answer, and it is often the case that the best answers come after a day or two. So wiat before jumping to choose a best answer.





To send a message to users who have helped you there are several ways of doing so:





1) choose them as best answer an leave nice comment in feedback box (above)





2) go to your question, click on edit and add details. You can write your message in the box to the users who have helped you for all to see. and click submit.





3) e-mail each person who has helped you individually. Go to their profile, and if they allow e-mail click on the link, write your message, and then send it.

There is a box under the question that says ';Answer This Question';. Just click on that box and write in your answer, click on preview and then click submit.
